(Memphis) A body was found at McKellar Lake, near where a boater disappeared last week.

A worker on the water spotted the body and called police just before 4:30.

It is not yet known if the body is that of the missing boater.

Last Wednesday, the Coast Guard received calls from a tugboat operator and a marina downtown about a boat seen floating with no one on board.

Tom Slaughter, a boat mechanic at the Riverside Park Marina, knows the missing boater.

“We noticed him going by earlier, you know. Then all of the sudden, we didn’t notice him in the boat anymore," he said. "We noticed the boat out there, running in circles."

The 10- to 12-foot motorized boat is called a Zodiac, which has inflatable sides and a fiberglass deck.
