MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A leukemia patient whose duet with former University of Memphis quarterback Jacob Karam went viral last year has died.

Breanna Bercegeay was seen by more than 300,000 people on the YouTube.

Breanna’s mother, Dara Bertucci, announced her daughter had passed away on Thursday on a Facebook page that chronicled Breanna’s battle.

“I was in the bed with my sweet girl when she left me, I was holding her so tight telling her how I loved her so much and how I was so proud of her. I would have stayed by her side forever continuing to fight this but glad my baby is no longer suffering.”
