(Shelby County) A 48-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for causing trouble during an eviction.

When detectives arrived at 4555 Cedar Leaf Cove, a private process server told them he was overseeing the eviction when Mark Chidester, one of the homeowners, arrived.

Chidester was “intoxicated and angry,” even getting a can of gasoline from the garage, dousing the removed property, and then setting it on fire.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, setting fire to personal property, simple assault, and resisting arrest.
