Tigers Lock Down on Louisville Late

FedExForum– Down by 8 with less than 5 minutes to go, the Memphis Tigers scored 14 of the final 15 points of the game, using a 12-zip run to take the lead and sweep the season series from rival Louisville for the first time since the 1996-’97 season, 72-66.

Michael Dixon came off the bench to score a team high 18 points, Geron Johnson added 15 and Chris Crawford hit 4 3’s…the last one giving the U of M the lead for good, snapping #7 Louisville’s 7-game winning streak.

The Tigers improving to 22-7, 11-5 in the AAC heading to Cincinnati on Thursday night.

    A win is a win! But dang! If the other team simply didn’t want the W it is still a win. The Tiger’s low post defense did not exist. Coaching was atrocious – could they not see the Cardinals sneaking behind the Tiger defense.. Tiger fans were as magnificent as ever.
