(Memphis) Police are looking for two men wanted in the shooting of an inn clerk Wednesday evening.

According to MPD, the suspects are both black males between 19 and 22 years of age.

MPD says one of the men was armed with a "black long barrel handgun." He was about 5'9" with a medium build and was wearing a blue hoodie, dark jeans, and white tennis shoes.

The second was described as light complexioned, and about 5'8" with a slender build. He was wearing a red jacket with white on the shoulders and two white stripes across the chest, dark jeans, blue/gray pants or shorts underneath jeans, and dark tennis shoes.

The one without the gun jumped the counter and tried to rob the business, while the other kept the clerk at gunpoint.

When they couldn't get any money from the hotel, the armed man shot the clerk and the other took her purse.

The woman was found in the Airport Inn lobby just before 7:30 and was taken to the MED in critical condition.

The men were last seen running toward Wheelis Estate.
