Multiple People Indicted In West Memphis, AR Drug Bust

(West Memphis, AR) Twenty people in West Memphis, AR have been indicted for drug sales related to being in a gang.

Those indicted are said to be members of the McDaniel DTO gang.

They are charged with intent to distribute in excess of 500 grams of cocaine in Crittenden County.

Christopher Thyer, a prosecutor with the US attorney's Office Eastern Arkansas District, said, "Make no mistake about it these individuals are very violent, they use guns and other forms of intimidation to further their drug conspiracy."

The charges stem from a state and federal Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation operationally dubbed Delta Crossroads.

The investigation, which primarily focused on drug trafficking in West Memphis, was initiated by the FBI at the request of the West Memphis Police Department, which assisted extensively with the investigation.

Dave Shepard with the FBI said, "This wasn't just a local investigation, it was far-reaching. We've arrested people in three states in conjunction with this investigation, in Houston, Boston and in northern Mississippi."

During the course of the investigation, law enforcement utilized three court-authorized wiretaps, during which hundreds of calls pertaining to cocaine and crack cocaine trafficking and firearms offenses were intercepted.

    Do any White People do drugs in West Memphis? Blacks need to stop trying to sell drugs in this town if you can’t do the time don’t do the crime the main people you deal with are the ones that get you busted. Stop giving these people your money.

    I love in West Memphis,it is a pretty descent city every city has drugs in it, I stay to myself& out the way, especially when it is a small city like west memphis u have to or u will b involved in a bunch of mess but if UR the type that CNT mind your own business & like to b n the lime light that’s how it happen to u, I DNT deal with anyone I have my family I deal with& that’s about it, I am a grown woman with kids& responsibilities & business of my own so that’s what I tend to my business & noone else’s, My husband &I work a job & come home & take care of our kids, it doesn’t matter where u move to if UR the type of person that stay n a lot of mess it will follow u or find u wherever u go, I’m not running I’m chilling n my small town & staying out the way!!

    We’ll to of them are in my family and you can say what you want but everyone has there own mine and to live a life as a drug dealer you should know you time will soon run out don’t talk about them pray for them my god be with all 20 of them
