(Memphis) Memphis Fire crews worked to keep generators going at The Jefferson Square apartments Saturday morning.

The building, home to many elderly tenants, lost power during Thursday’s storms.

The complex is owned by the Memphis Housing Authority. Tenants called them trying to get answers, but the office is closed until Monday.

WREG contacted MLGW who said a faulty underground cable was part of the problem.

They have since fixed the problem, restoring power to over 200 apartments.
