Relative Discovers Dead Body in North Memphis

(Memphis) A north Memphis man found his brother dead Sunday morning.

Memphis police were called to the scene in the 1500 block of Chelsea just before 8:00 a.m.

They found a male with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Those who live in the nearby Lincoln Apartments said Sunday they were not surprised to see the crime scene.

“This isn’t my first time. I heard shots down there this morning around 4 o’clock. I got up and came to the door, but like I said I didn’t see anything,” said William Mabon.

Mabon said MPD are in the area often but the crime continues.

“I be laying in the bed and then all at once a bunch of shots go off,” added Mabon.
