SUV Slams Into Apartment Building

(Memphis) Six people, including two children, are in the hospital after an SUV came crashing into their apartment building early Wednesday.

Around 12:30 a.m., police say an SUV crashed through an iron fence and ended up inside an apartment at the Pinebrook Pointe Apartments on Winchester east of Goodlett.

Five people were inside the apartment, three adults and two children.

The adults were taken to The MED with minor injuries and the children are listed in stable condition at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

The driver of the SUV wasn't hurt, but he was detained by police.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
