Deadly Shooting in South Memphis May Have Been Home Invasion

(Memphis) Homicide detectives with the Memphis Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting that may have been the result of a home invasion.

It happened early Tuesday morning in South Memphis.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Palermo Ave. just before 4 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound inside.

Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far, police haven’t released any official information about what led to the shooting.

Neighbors tell us they heard at least 3-5 shots.

Two men were being questioned by police.

Friends say the two men were roommates with the man who died.
