(Memphis) A family feud led to violent destruction and a daughter allegedly attacking her mother with a kitchen knife.

Janice Hill is in jail on aggravated assault and vandalism charges after her mother told police she had to jump out of a window to save her own life.

Every family argues now and then, but most don’t end with a busted window, shattered glass on the ground and blinds in the trashcan.

Tarsia Hill claims her daughter Janice Hill busted out a window of her South Memphis home and attacked her with a kitchen knife.

Tarsia says she hid in the bathroom and locked the door, but Janice started stabbing through the door.

Tarsia escaped her daughter’s attack by climbing out the window.

That’s when she called police.

Police didn’t nab Janice at her mother’s house on Victory; they found her a few streets over at another house.
