Ripley Mississippi Voters Pass Alcohol Sales

(Ripley, MS) A referendum on the sale of alcohol in Ripley, Mississippi is passed by voters Tuesday night.

The vote  on the referendum for the sale of Liquor and wine 887 people voted for it, 721 voted against it.

On the referendum for the sale of Beer and Light wine 883 voters voted for it, 684 voted against it.

Mississippi law now allows cities to vote on whether to allow beer and liquor sales.

New Albany and Corinth are among the cities that recently voted for alcohol sales under the new law.
