(Memphis) Memphis police are investigating a stabbing this morning at a boarding house in North Memphis.

It happened in the 3000 block of Coleman Avenue in Mitchell Heights.

Neighbors say a 65-year-old woman who lived at the boarding house with her boyfriend was in bad shape when she was placed into an ambulance.

There were reports that the woman was stabbed as many as 20 times.

Neighbors say at least five people live at the boarding house and police have been there before.

They weren't surprised to hear something had happened there today.

"They come there all the time for some reason. The last time a guy got his throat cut there,"  said Allen Austin.

Austin says when you get different people living together under one room there is bound to be trouble.

Neighbors say police were questioning at least two people at the scene.

No word on the condition of the victim or any arrests in the case.
