(Memphis)  Investigators with the Shelby County Fire Department are trying to determine the cause of an overnight fire that heavily damaged a house in the southeastern part of the county.

The fire broke out around 3:15 a.m. Thursday in the 4800 block of Bloomfield Drive — which is off Shelby Drive west of Forest Hill-Irene Road.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the back half of the house — but the damage is extensive.

Firefighters from Memphis and Germantown were also called to the scene to help Shelby County firefighters put out the flames.

The family who lives at the home wasn’t there when the fire broke out. Neighbors say they are out of town on vacation.

There were no injuries to firefighters.
