(Memphis) Two teenagers — ages 17 and 19 — are fighting for their lives at the MED following an overnight shooting in Whitehaven.

Police say the two were shot around 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the Peppertree Apartments near Raines and Millbranch.

Both victims were taken to the MED in critical condition.

So far, police haven’t released any information about what led to the shooting.

Tanya Lidell, the mother of the 17-year-old victim, told us that her son was ambushed.

This is just the latest in a series of violent incidents at the Peppertree Apartments.

There have been at least two other shootings at the complex in the last year, including one back in March that injured a pregnant woman.

The complex was also the scene of several fires over the last few years, including one last June that was ruled as arson.
