17-Year-Old Hospitalized After Shooting in Shelby County

(Memphis) Shelby County Investigators say a teen was shot after a party at the Ball Room Saturday night.

Shelby County Deputies were called to the 4000 Block of Hacks Cross just before 11:00p.m. Saturday night to disperse the crowd of about 100 young people.

Chip Washington, spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says while officers were on the scene they got a call of shots fired in a nearby parking lot.

Deputies located a 17-year-old male in the lot of Steak N Shake with two gunshot wounds to the stomach. He was taken to The Med in critical condition.

No arrests have been made in this case.
