Robbery Suspect Identified after Dropping His Wallet at the Crime Scene

(Memphis) A suspected armed robber sits in the Shelby County Jail after his prison I.D. card was found at the scene of the crime.

Reginald Harris was booked overnight for a robbery that happened Tuesday in East Memphis.

The victim said Harris and another man robbed her at gunpoint outside of her parents’ house in the Belle Meade Subdivision.

She said the men stole her purse and jewelry and threatened to rape her.

Police got a major break when they found Harris’ wallet nearby. The wallet included his photo I.D. card from a Mississippi prison.

Harris has served time for armed robbery and was supposed to complete his probation in just a week.
