Bridge Collapses Injuring Three People

(Skagit County, Wa.) A section of a bridge over the Skagit River in Washington State collapsed injuring three people.

The bridge is part of Interstate 5, which is about an hour north of Seattle.

Police believe there were only three people on the bridge at the time of the collapse. They rescued.

Investigators are trying to determine whether an oversize vehicle struck bridge supports late Thursday afternoon.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says about 77,000 people travel the bridge daily.
