Ceremonies to be held to Honor Victims of Crimes

(Memphis) There will be held two ceremonies held today to observe National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

At 10 a.m., members of the Board Parole and the Department of Correction will hold a tree planting ceremony at the T.O. Fuller State Park.

At 6 p.m. the Shelby County Crime Victims Center along with the community based program — Freedom From Unnecessary Negatives — will host the 8th Annual Garden of Lights Memorial Celebration.

The ceremony will be held at the Memphis Botanic Garden at the Homicide Memorial near the Japanese gardens.
