(Cross County, AR) The body of a missing Wynne, Arkansas police officer has been found three months after he first disappeared into a river.

Nick Swink’s body was located Saturday by a fisherman who had been searching for him everyday for the past few months.

Swink’s wallet, badge and I.D. were still with his remains.

Swink fell off a bridge into the St. Francis River in January. Rescue crews searched for him for days, but were never able to locate his body.

He had been a police officer in Wynne for four years. He was set to become a Cross County Sheriff’s deputy just days after he disappeared.
