(Memphis)  Memphis Police have arrested one of two men wanted in connection with a violent armed robbery at a North Memphis convenience store.

20-year-old Royce Newsome will be arraigned Thursday morning on especially aggravated robbery charges. He’s being held on $250,000 bond at the Shelby County Jail.

Police say Newsome and another man held up a worker outside the Hollywood Foodmart Monday.

The 52-year-old employee told police he was going to his car when he was attacked by the two men. Police say they robbed him and shot him several times.

This isn’t the first time Newsome has been in trouble. He was previously convicted on burglary and robbery charges.

The second suspect in the robbery remains at large. Anyone with information that could help police catch him, should call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
