Tanker Fire Shuts Down Highway 78 in Marshall County

(Marshall County) Highway 78 in Marshall County has been shut down due to a Hazardous Materials incident.

State Troopers says a tractor-trailer carrying liquid nitrogen caught fire around 3:00a.m. Saturday morning. There is no word on what caused the fire.

The troopers are trying to safely remove the contents of the truck and have shut down the highway as a precaution.

So far there is no estimate as to how long this scene will be active so you’ll want to avoid this area if possible.
