(Memphis) Today the Senate State and Local Government Committee met to hear from both sides on the issue of allowing grocery stores in Tennessee to sell wine.

People in favor say you should be able to pick up a bottle of wine when you go to the grocery store.

Those opposed say it would hurt small businesses.

The bill to overhaul the current system that prevents shoppers from buying wine in grocery stores faces votes in both House and Senate committees this week, with the first vote taking place tomorrow.
