Digit is a 30-lb., 1.5-year-old female Basset Hound mix who came to the Humane Society in January.

A Good Samaritan found her at a gas station in southeast Memphis with most of her back right foot missing.

It seemed to be a birth defect that she had lived with her whole life.

The Humane Society ultimately amputated the leg, because Digit was compensating with her other legs, which would have caused her hip problems later in life.

Digit is just a sweet, happy girl who loves everyone and everything. She would make an excellent family dog. Her wagging tail and lovely disposition would brighten anyone's day.
