(Memphis) Three Charter Schools in Memphis have been rejected by the State Board of Education.

Friday, the board met to vote on appeals filed by the Global Leadership Academy, the Moving-Ahead School of Scholars and the Ceasar Chavez Elementary Charter School.

All three had been denied applications by the Memphis-Shelby County Unified School Board.

The board says the schools don’t meet state guidelines, but they can re-apply once the requirements are met.
