(Memphis) Strong storms moved through the Mid-South causing some damage and prompting tornado warnings by the National Weather Service.

Most damage reports included downed trees and power polls.

MLGW reported as many as 17,000 customers without power at the height of the storm.

In Memphis, there were numerous reports of flooded parking lots and underpasses.

There were lots of reports of trees down and homes damaged in the Bethel Springs, TN area. Schools are closed in McNairy County Wednesday due to power outages and damage to Bethel Springs Elementary School.
