Man Shot By Police Now Charged For Assault

(Memphis) Police are investigating a shooting outside a convenience store.

At 6:23 p.m., officers received a call to Quick & Easy, 931 S. Highland for three men on the parking lot; one was armed with a handgun.

The caller heard the men saying they were going to rob someone.

Police say an officer pulled onto the parking lot and saw a man leaning into a vehicle.

The officer pulled his gun and told the man to turn around.

Police say the suspect pulled a handgun from the vehicle and pointed it at the officer. 

The officer shot and hit the 18-year-old Bo Moore who was taken to The MED in critical condition.

Moore is now charged with Aggravated Assault.

The officer was not injured.

The officer has been relieved of duty per MPD policy.
