(Memphis) Memphis Police are searching for the man who carjacked and kidnapped a man at the Kroger at Kirby and Poplar.

Barry Horne says he was in the parking lot eating his lunch with the windows down when a man came over and took him for a ride he will never forget.

"He showed me the gun first then he hit me upside the head with it, and after that the rest is history," said Horne.

Horne says the suspect took him and his car at gun point a few minutes west on Poplar and kicked him out at the Walgreens at the intersection of Poplar and Massey.

"In the process he took ten bucks I had on me, my work phone and let me out and kept going," said Horne.

Horne is a mechanic and the suspect also drove off with all of his work tools.

Police say this all started just before noon when officers were following four burglary suspects down Poplar.

They say two of the suspects jumped out.

One took off on foot and the other is the man who car jacked Horne.

MPD says the two suspects who drove away were arrested on Massey and the two who bailed out of the car are still on the run.

Horne says he sits in the Kroger parking lot every day to eat his lunch, but now he doesn't feel safe, "I've never experience anything like this before, but it is what it is, and I'm thankful to be here. Praise to God right now that I'm alive."

A representative from Kroger says Memphis Police have not contacted them, and Kroger is not even sure if this happened on their parking lot.

Police are looking for Horne's Gray 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix.

He says there is a spoiler on the back and no tint on the windows.
