(Memphis) 2012 was the warmest year on record in Memphis. The average temperature last year was 66 degrees.

That’s one degree higher than the previous record set in 2007.

It was also actually the second-warmest year in two other Tennessee cities, Jackson and Nashville.

The same for Jonesboro, Arkansas and Tupelo, Mississippi.
