Stormin’ Norman Dies at Age 78

(Tampa, FL) Retired U.S. General Norman Schwarzkopf died Thursday.

Schwarzkopf led American and International forces into Kuwait in 1991 after Saddam Hussein invaded the oil rich country.

The mission was called “Operation Desert Storm” and they ousted Hussein’s forces.

Schwarzkopf graduated from West Point, volunteered for the military during the Vietnam War and earned three silver stars for valor.

He retired in Tampa, Florida where he died.

Schwarzkopf was 78-years-old.
