Club Crave Shut Down

(Memphis)  Memphis police placed a sign on the doors of Club Crave, the site of a Christmas Eve shooting on Beale St. that left one dead and two injured, closing the club under the orders of Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich.

Officers swarmed the club about noon Thursday, barely a half hour after a news conference was called for 1PM where details of the club’s closure are expected to be announced.

Club Crave, previously known as the Plush Club, as well as other names, has been the scene of many incidents involving shootings and other violent crimes.

Mayor Wharton, MPD Director Toney Armstrong, Shelby County DA Weirwich are expected to attended the news conference.
