Singer Killed in Plane Crash

(Monterrey, Mexico) A popular Mexican-American singer died in a plane crash Sunday.

A jet carrying singer Jenni Rivera and six others disappeared from radar after taking off from the airport in Monterrey, Mexico.

The wreckage was found late Sunday about 62 miles from the airport.

The singer, two pilots and four passengers were on board.

Rivera was born in California and sold more than 15 million records in her career.

She was 43-years-old and had five children.
