Police Search for Bank Robber

(Memphis)  Memphis Police are searching for a man, wearing a woman’s wig, who held up a Bank of America branch in Raleigh.

The robbery happened Tuesday morning at the bank’s location in front of Raleigh Springs Mall on Austin Peay Highway.

Police say the man posed as a customer then told the teller he had a weapon and asked for cash. After receiving money, the man then left th e bank and got into a gold Honda Civic that was waiting outside.

Police say the suspect was in his 30’s, around 5’10” tall and weighed around 200 lbs. In addition to the wig, he was wearing a black hooded jacket with a white design on the back, black pants, black shoes and a black knit cap.
