(China) A couple in China refused to move out of their house to make room for a new highway.

Now they are living in the middle of the road.

The couple says the government did not offer them enough compensation.

Officials demolished part of their building but left the rest in place and built the highway around their house.

Chinese law prohibits the razing of property without the owner’s consent.

A circle will be built around the house before the highway officially opens.
