Republicans Gain Supermajority In Tennessee House & Senate

(Nashville, TN) For the first time in history, Republicans will have a  supermajority in both the State House and State Senate.

Republicans gained 6 seats in the State Senate and 7 in the State House and Senator Bob Corker was re-elected.

“Tennessee voters affirmed tonight that our state is heading in the right direction,” said Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney. “Republicans are once again honored that voters have put their trust in our party to lead our state to a better future.
