(Memphis) Memphis Police continue to investigate what led up to a drive-by shooting outside of South East Memphis nightclub Level II.

Police claim the victims were leaving the club Monday morning around 2:30 when another car pulled up and someone inside began firing. Inside the car were four men, however one of them was not injured. He drove the car to a gas station at Park and Mt. Moriah where he flagged down a tow truck driver for help.

“He pulled in right beside me. The driver jumped out and was asking me to help him. His cousin was shot and he was dying.  I called the ambulance and that’s all I could do,” explained tow truck driver Ronnie Peeples.

One of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene. Two others were taken to the Regional Medical Center, but one died once he arrived. The other victim remains in critical condition.

As of 11:50 a.m. Monday morning, MPD did not have any suspects in custody.

“It’s out of control. I’ve never been that close. I see it on the TV but I never laid eyes on it. I’ve seen enough,” explains Peeples.
