(Ripley, TN) Detectives are on the search for a killer and a motive in an overnight deadly shooting.

Raymond Theus’ family was rocked by a phone call in the middle of the night, Friday.

“Saying they found my brother, someone shot him in the back and he was dead,” said Theus’ sister, Sharon West.

The grandfather’s body was found here in front of the Domino's Pizza on Washington Street.

“There was no blood. They think somebody killed him and brought him and dumped him off there, “ said West.

Whoever murdered the 58-year-old handy man was gone. Sadly, it’s a mystery the family has seen before. Seven years ago another brother, Matthew Theus, was killed. His body was dumped on the train tracks. To this day, police have made no arrests.

Sharon West says she’ll miss Theus stopping by her house, being her little brother.

“I call him Mikey because he always eats everything,” said West.

Right now, investigators are hoping security cameras in the area caught who might have dumped Theus’ body.

“We need to know.” Said West.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. That number is 1-800-TBI-FIND.
