Deadly Accident Kills Teenager Near Byhalia, MS

(Byhalia, MS) A deadly accident near Byhalia, Mississippi kills a teenager and injures three other teens.

Marshall County 911 received an emergency call at 6:59 p.m. Monday regarding a two car motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of St. Paul Road in Marshall County.

 Patrol deputies, ambulances and firefighters, including rescue units, responded to the scene which was quite chaotic with several very severe injuries on the scene. 

Due to the severity of the accident, the patrol supervisor contacted investigators with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department who arrived shortly thereafter.

The initial determination is that the two vehicles involved, a Ford Taurus and a Chevrolet Trailblazer, collided near the crest of a hill on St. Paul Road which is a two lane paved roadway.

 Three persons, two females and one male, ages 15, 16 and 18, were transported to The Med in Memphis. 

Two of the injured were flown to The Med by air ambulance.  

A 17-year-old male, the driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 Additional information regarding the accident will be released Tuesday.
