(Bartlett) The City of Bartlett is reportedly ready to grow.

October first, the City’s Planning Commission is set to take the first steps toward annexing a large part of Bartlett’s “annexation reserve” area.

Most of the area under consideration is in and around the Brunswick community, but South of the CSX railroad line.

While annexations are normally not popular with property owners, many are said to favor joining Bartlett, due to it’s commitment to creating a municipal school district.

Once the Planning Commission finishes its work, the annexation will go before Aldermen for three readings. It’s expected to pass without dissent.
