Mother Heads To Court, Admits to Killing Daughter

(Millington, TN) The mother of a woman who was found beaten to death in a Millington trailer park has confessed to the murder.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Wednesday night that Kathy Webber, 48, confessed to the crime and is now being held on First degree murder charges.

Shaneca Webber, 30, was found was dead Wednesday morning in the trailer park on the 6300 block of Sea Weed Dr. in Millington. Deputies said her mother confessed to hitting her at least seven times on the head with a fire extinguisher.

Deputies said Kathy Webber attempted to clean the crime scene by hiding the evidence under a pile of bed linens.

Webber admitted her daughter is handicapped.

No motive has been released about this case.
