(Memphis) For the third year, the Orpheum Theatre handed out awards to local high school musical theatre students.

Twenty four schools and more than 200 students took part in the competition where judges attended high school musicals then judged each show in a series of categories.

The Tony style show, including red carpet and roving camera crew, was hosted by actress and singer Laura Bell Bundy.

Bundy is well-known for her Broadway roles in Legally Blonde and Wicked, among others. She was a Tony Award nominee and most recently she has launched a country music career.

During the awards show, Bundy often showed her comedic side, though towards the end she did get choked up while describing the energy and talent of the teen performers.
