(Memphis) St. Louis Catholic School has broken ground for a new junior High wing.

The two-story building will be 18,000-square-feet and house new classrooms, science rooms a music area and distance learning classes.

The addition faces White Station and is expected to be finished in Spring 2013.

According to school leaders, the expansion will allow junior high classes to be limited to 20 students per teacher.

Construction on the building wasn't started until the majority of funds were raised to avoid any future debt.
