MPD Searching For Suspect In Orange Mound Homicide

(Memphis) Memphis Police are searching for a suspect that killed one man and left a woman clinging to life.

Police responded to the shooting at 767 Carson in Orange Mound shortly after 10:45 p.m. Sunday.

They found the woman, identified by family members as 21-year-old Courtney Taylor, at a neighbor's home.

She had been shot several times and was rushed to The MED in critical condition. She is expected to survive.

Officers say the woman pointed them to 767 Carson St. where the man, identified as 29-year-old Roy Townsel, was found dead.

A relative of Walker's says the shooter took Walker's keys and her car when they left the scene.

Memphis Police are looking for a 1999 grey four-door Lexus with Arkansas plates 385-PFA.

Dion Juanese Davis lives on the street and said she didn't hear the gunshots.

"I hope they catch him for the safety of everybody on this street as well as the neighborhood," said Davis.
