    (Memphis) A Memphis Police Officer has been arrested and charged after allegedly breaking in on his ex-girlfriend. Memphis police say 33-year-old James Valentine used a spare key he never returned to enter his ex-girlfriends house. Valentine was armed with a handgun when he ordered a male occupant to “get up and get out” according to an affidavit.     (Walls, MS) A north Mississippi man is behind bars after a short search for him and his child. Walls police officers were called to Laurel Park Apartments in Walls, MS around 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning for a suspected barricade situation involving Cassidy Thomas and a little girl.     (Memphis) A man accused of being an ax murderer walked out of jail a free man after three years behind bars. A jury deliberated for just over four hours before finding Joshua Cline not guilty of the crime. Cline would’ve faced the death penalty had he been found guilty.   • 2 Students Killed, 2 Injured in Deadly Car Crash

    (Oxford) Police in Oxford are investigating a one car crash that killed two Ole Miss students. The crash happened just before 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning on Highway Seven near University Ave. The LaFayette County deputy coroner says the car flipped over at least once and was found upside down in the median. Two other students in the car were injured but are expected to be okay. All of the students were from the St. Louis area.

    Tipton Woman Killed After Pointing Gun At Officers

    (Covington, TN) The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into an officer involved shooting that left a woman dead. Five law enforcement officers are on administrative leave.     (Memphis) Memphis Police said they are investigating three separate shooting scenes Saturday night. Investigators said a man and a woman were shot on Getwell around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.     Elderly Residents Relieved To Get Power After Two Days In The Dark

    (Memphis) Memphis Fire crews worked to keep generators going at The Jefferson Square apartments Saturday morning. The building, home to many elderly tenants, lost power during Thursday’s storms. The complex is owned by the Memphis Housing Authority. Tenants called them trying to get answers, but the office is closed until Monday. WREG contacted MLGW who said a faulty underground cable was part of the problem. They have since fixed the problem, restoring power to over 200 apartments.

    (Memphis) A man is recovering after getting shot in south Memphis. Police say the victim was visiting his girlfriend’s home in the 1200 block of Cannon Saturday morning.     (Memphis) Freedom From Unnecessary Negatives hosted their 4th Annual Multicultural Unity and Peace Family and Community Picnic Sunday afternoon. In light of October being Crime Prevention Month and National Anti-Bullying Month, the picnic is FFUN’s  prevention, and awareness and education initiative. “We want to bring the community together in peace and unity, encouraging you to appreciate and respect cultural, physical and socioeconomic differences,” said Stevie Moore, President and founder of FFUN.
