Kris Anderson

Daybreak/Noon Anchor

When his alarm clock starts buzzing “dark and early” at 3:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, Kris Anderson knows it’s time to deliver the news!

You can catch him anchoring News Channel 3 Daybreak beginning at 4:30 a.m. and then later in the day on News Channel 3 at Noon. He also hosts the widely popular “Does it Work?” consumer segment that airs Wednesday nights on News Channel 3 at 10:00 p.m.

Kris moved to the Mid-South more than seven years ago to become part of the WREG family, and has been greeting morning viewers ever since. He was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and graduated with a B.S. in Communications from Florida International University.

Kris began his career as a sports anchor at a small station in the mountains of West Virginia. He was eventually promoted to the stations evening news anchor and served that role for about 6 months until Memphis came calling.

More than just an anchor and reporter, Kris is also part of the community and enjoys volunteering his time and representing WREG at events across the Mid-South. He is also very active in social networking so be sure to “follow” him on Twitter and “like” him on Facebook.

Family is the most important thing to Kris. He is the proud father of twin 5 year old boys - Dominic and Lucas..they are his world! He also met the love of his life, Brooke Wilson, here in Memphis. She is the Group Fitness and Team Training Director for DAC in Southaven and Laurelwood, and is one of the top personal trainers/fitness coaches in the Mid-South!

Kris is a big sports fan and loves cheering on his hometown Miami Heat, Dolphins, Hurricanes and Marlins, but has also become a big fan of his adoptive hometown Grizzlies and Tigers! He loves good food, and is always excited about trying new restaurants...any suggestions?

Kris and his family live in Southaven, and spend most of their time exploring all of the kid-friendly “adventures” in the area.

If you have a story idea or a suggestion for “Does it Work?” he would love to hear about it. Email him at kris.anderson@wreg.com.
