Firefighter rushed to hospital after falling from roof

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis firefighter is recovering after he was injured during a house fire overnight.

That fire damaged a home on Emory Road in Southwest Memphis early this morning.

WREG was told the firefighter fell through the roof of the home and landed on his back.

He was rushed to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

Friday afternoon, investigators revealed the blaze was intentionally set in the carport storage room.

This case is being investigated as arson.
