Hernando,MS.–Flag poles leaning and power lines snapped, leaving some business in the dark two days after a fierce storm.

“I don’t like Old Glory looking like that. We will have someone out to replace it,” said Roxie Norris.

Roxie Norris works next door where the lights are on.
Norris is just glad the wind didn’t push the flag pole into their building.

“Looked very scary I was just grateful that no one was hurt,” added Norris.

Saturday’s storm left power lines looking like downed dominoes.
Some businesses are closed until repairs are made.
WREG noticed a Gateway Tire had everyone on duty but without power, no customers were welcomed.

“I know without being able to work, is going to be hard for them,” added Norris.

The glass is still scattered throughout parking lots, wooden beams split, and trucks working to restore power but those who are able to go back to work, were happy to be on the job.
