BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — A 22-year-old is behind bars, accused of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl.

According to police, the victim was taken to the Great River Medical Center on November 22. She was then transported to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock so a forensic examination could be performed.

The little girl told authorities Alandrus Spencer sexually assaulted her. Her story was corroborated by another child who was inside the home at the time.

That child said she went upstairs and walked in on Spencer hurting the 6-year-old.

A warrant was issued on December 5 and Spencer was arrested soon after.

Authorities said Spencer denied hurting the child.

“Spencer did advise that he and the victim were alone in his bedroom for a short amount of time, but denied engaging in any sexual activity,” Captain Scott Adams told the Blytheville Courier News.

This week, a judge set Spencer’s bond at $100,000 in cash. He’s expected to be back in court at the end of January.
