Yankee Candles recalls products over safety concern

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A popular brand of candles is voluntarily being recalled after a defect was reported.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Yankee Candle‘s Luminous Candle Collection was recalled after it was discovered the glass jar could crack when lit, posing a laceration concern for customers.

So far, there have been 16 reports of the glass breaking. No one has been injured.

The products being recalled were sold in Yankee Candle stores nationwide and online from September to November 2016.

There are six fragrances in the series that are being recalled: Sea Sale & Coral (1535651), Blackberry & Sage (1535890), Apple Blossom & Melon (1535891), Sugarcane & Honey ( 1535892), Pine & Sandalwood (1535893), and Cinnamon & Cedar (1535894).

In all, more than 31,000 candles have been recalled.

If you have one, you may return the product to the store for a refund.
