Police chase ends in two suspects being taken into custody

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are in police custody following a police chase Monday afternoon.

According to authorities, the entire thing began when officers spotted a 4-door Audi A4 heading westbound on Crump Boulevard similar to one wanted by police.  Officers also recognized the driver as a man wanted for questioning in a series of aggravated robberies and aggravated assaults.

When officers tried to pull the car over, the suspect hit the gas, leading police on a pursuit to Krayer and Grace.

It was at that point, the suspects bailed out of the car and fled on foot. One of them reportedly dropped a gun in the process.

Both suspects were taken into custody.

The gun was found to have been stolen along with the car.
